I am a highly respected and qualified construction professional with a Master of Science Degree in Accessibility and Inclusive Design. I am a full member of the Chartered Institute of Building, the Association of Building Engineers, and registered in both the Design and CDM Co-ordinator register maintained by the Association for Project Safety.

In a career spanning over 30 years, I have been involved in both the private and public sectors of the construction industry. I have worked as a Building Standards Officer with many Scottish Local Authorities including Falkirk, Stirling, Perth & Kinross, Dunfermline, Clydesdale, South Lanarkshire, Aberdeen City, and Shetland Islands Council, and have been involved in many constuction projects ranging from small, low complex domestic home extensions, through to very large and complex, multi million pound, commercial projects.
