Our Service
The following explains the service we provide to homeowners who want to extend or alter their houses - please contact us for enquiries relating to the construction of new houses or commercial projects.
Stage 1 - Booking
Once you have decided to proceed with our service we will arrange for our Surveyor to visit your home at a convenient date and time.
Stage 2 - Survey
Our Surveyor will then visit your home to receive your instruction, discuss your proposals with you, and provide any advice or information you may require. This is an informal meeting and you should feel free to ask any questions you may have. A survey of your property is then carried out which involves taking measurements both externally and internally, photographs and levels, etc. as may be required. Copies of any existing plans, or previous approvals you may have and any sketches or details of what you propose to build would be helpful (but not essential). This visit normally takes about one hour.
Stage 3 - Initial Plans
We then prepare and send you existing and proposed floor plans & elevations. When you receive the plans you should examine them to ensure we have not misunderstood your instruction or made any mistakes. If any changes are needed, you then mark the changes required on the plans and email or post them back to us for alteration.
Stage 4 - Submission Plans
At this stage we make any alterations or corrections you have requested to the plans, and compile the technical specification, sectional detail and obtain an ordnance survey site location plan. We then send you, by post or email a copy of the submission plans and specification.
Stage 5 - Submission
Once instructed to do so, we submit the applications to the Council. We then provide help and assistance with any further letters you receive prior to approvals being granted, including the point raised in the Building Warrant "Plan Assessment Letter".
